Yael Borofsky is currently a PhD candidate at ETH Zurich. Her research is focused on planning, policy, and technology for energy access in the developing world and infrastructure in informal settlements. Prior to starting her PhD, Yael was a research associate at the MIT Energy Initiative and a research assistant at the ETH NADEL Center for Development and Cooperation, where she worked on the Solar Lighting & Energy Poverty project. She holds a dual masters’ degree from MIT.
